Apprentice Glazier/Shopfitter opportunities in 2026.  Interviewing now for Jan 2026 start date.

Are you motivated, hands-on, enjoy working with tools and want to learn a trade that builds real skills?

This is a great opportunity to begin your career as an Apprentice Glazier/Shopfitter with a well-established Tasmanian family-owned glazing & window manufacturing company with highly skilled, friendly tradespeople supporting you every step of the way.  An employer of award-winning apprentices.

 

What You’ll Learn and Do:

Learn the foundation skills essential to becoming a skilled glazier

Use hand tools and state of the art machinery for cutting, shaping and assembling glass and aluminium products

Understand glazing systems and safety procedures

Working on both residential and commercial buildings

Handling and moving products by manual and automated means

Build aluminium windows and doors to specifications

Cutting and glazing glass products

Installation of windows, doors, glass shower screens in housings and commercial buildings

 

What You’ll Need:

Completion of Year 10 (or equivalent)

Strong literacy and numeracy skills

Basic computer literacy

Construction white Card (or willingness to obtain)

Physically capable of lifting up to 20kg

Good hand-eye coordination and a strong work ethic

 

What we’re looking for:

Reliable, punctual and keen to learn a trade

Enjoys practical, hands-on-work

Strong attention to detail and safety

Good communication and teamwork skills
